Kansas City Small Business Monthly 25 Under 25 Award - 2007

Leawood, KS (Febuary 9, 2007) — SoftVu LLC was selected as one of 25 winners for 2007 in the 25 Under 25 Award sponsored by Small Business Monthly. The winners were announced in December, 2006. Winners will be honored at several events over the next few months culminating in the Sixth Annual 25 Under 25 Awards Dinner & Gala on March 3, 2007. In addition, SoftVu received recognition in the monthly business publication’s newspaper with an article and photo along with a tribute on its Web site (www.kcsmallbiz.com).

SoftVu LLC, headquartered in Leawood, Kansas, helps companies develop more effective online campaigns through innovative software and award-winning interactive marketing campaigns. With just under 25 employees, the company’s solutions are used in campaigns for lead generation, lead incubation, sales follow-up, and in client retention programs.

SoftVu Founder and President Tim Donnelly said,” We have turned SoftVu from a niche software firm into a highly acclaimed online communications company. The differentiator in our firm’s success continues to be our people.”

To manage the company’s growth, new management was recruited starting with the addition of Steve Garver, a former Senior Vice President with Cerner Corporation, who became an equity investor and Chief Executive Officer in 2004. Two additional equity partners were added: Tommy Hinton in 2005 as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, and Jamie Oakes in 2006 as Vice President of Sales. Today, with a combined total of over 50 years in IT software and professional service experience, SoftVu‘s management team is focused on growing the company into a substantially larger one and on capturing significant market share.

The 25 Under 25 Award is one of many recent awards SoftVu has received since its inception. Others include: two Silver awards from the 2006 International Davey Awards for online advertising and marketing campaigns; two OMNI awards in 2007; four Bronze, three Silver, and one Gold OMNI in the past years; five Fountain Awards (presented by the Business Marketing Association); and one Bronze Quill Award (presented by the International Association of Business Communicators).

CEO Steve Garver, said, “We appreciate the honor to be named as one of the best small businesses in the Kansas City area and to be included with such other outstanding companies as one of the 25 winners for 2007. We also recognize that our clients have fostered our success and thank them for their long-term commitments with us.”

About The 25 Under 25 Awards. Kansas City Small Business Monthly launched the annual 25 Under 25 Awards to recognize 25 outstanding Kansas City area businesses with fewer than 25 full-time employees. No formal recognition program had existed in the Kansas City area specifically targeting the smallest businesses until the publication originated the awards program in 2002. Small business compromises the largest number of companies both locally and nationally, with roughly 83 percent of Kansas City area and 86 percent of businesses nationwide employing 19 or fewer employees. A judging panel selected the 25 candidates based on financial stability, the ability to overcome obstacles, community service, distinguishing characteristics, and company vision. Events are scheduled throughout February and March, 2007 to honor the finalists. Honorees are profiled in a special 25 Under 25® supplement in the February 2007 issue of Kansas City Small Business Monthly and invited to be guests on the “Eye on Small Business” radio show. In addition, there is a luncheon for the honorees along with an awards presentation dinner and gala March 3, 2007.
