Lending/Internet Mortgage In 2002, SoftVu delivered an integrated solution within the Internet mortgage industry. SoftVu’s client uses video messaging technologies, delivering video messages of the actual loan officer assigned to the consumer’s loan, to “warm” the viewer, build trust between the consumer and the virtual lender, and provide a professional introduction to the lending company to the consumer. As a result, SoftVu helped this Internet mortgage lender significantly increase conversion rates from Internet leads. This solution is delivered through integration (using API calls) between lead source aggregators (e.g. LendingTree) the on-line lender, and SoftVu’s Relay communication platform. As LendingTree’s tag line “When banks compete, you win” explains, LendingTree provides market-centralization of leads whereby LendingTree distributes electronic information to lenders for follow-up and closure. The Relay Communications platform receives an electronic request from the lender, asking to pull the video message of the assigned loan officer for the lead, and distributes a email with link to a video message, and finally when the consumer views the video message, the Relay platform distributes a “view notification” to the assigned loan officer informing them that the consumer is currently “watching” their video message. This process enables the loan officer to capitalize on the consumer’s immediate interest, and deliver personal impact and “warmth” of working with a “real” person, versus their competition’s static, impersonal black and white correspondence.
