Kansas City, Missouri: SoftVu, an industry-leading company renowned for helping mortgage and senior living clients with lead generation and marketing automation for 17 years, announced today that they have launched a Year of Service. The SoftVu team is partnering with local non-profits that focus on those in the Kansas City community who are attempting to get back on their feet, for a second chance at life. The Year of Service will add needed volunteer hours and funds to these organizations.
“Kansas City has been good to us and now it’s our turn to give back in a deeply meaningful way,” says SoftVu CEO and Founder, Tim Donnelly. “I can’t take credit for getting this Year of Service off the ground. Our newly formed group of team members, which call themselves the VuGooders, are all over this project and I couldn’t be more proud.” The motto Donnelly strives to live by, ‘Work to live and live to serve for the greater good’ is based on SoftVu’s culture. The group promises to complete over 500 service hours and raise $5,000 to benefit local charities.
For the kick-off, The VuGooders have challenged companies in their neighborhood, located in the Crossroads District, to collect personal care items and monetary gifts for Giving The Basics. It’s a non-profit organization that provides personal care products for 220,000 local people of need every month. The drive lasts through April 4, 2017.
“When we pitched the Crossroads Charity Championship to our neighbors, several organizations quickly raised their hand to get involved,” says Jheri Bermudez, Project Coordinator and Chair of The VuGooders for SoftVu. The friendly competitors for this VuGooder challenge include James B. Nutter & Company, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City, Sporting KC, and EAG Advertising. “A lot of people believe that they can change the world and so do we. Being encouraged by our CEO, Tim, and having a company culture of giving back, it’s been easy to get SoftVu’s team members involved,” Jheri continues. “Like Captain Planet and The Planeteers – we work better together when we are serving others.”
