“Work to live and live to serve for the Greater Good”
– SoftVu’s President & CEO, Tim Donnelly
SoftVu aspires to exemplify our core values in our day-to-day activities and within service acts that provide value to our local communities and our extended global community. SoftVu’s VuGooders believe in broadening their communal awareness, opening their hearts and minds, and providing body and brain muscle to benefit those in need.
I am involved in 3 non-profit organizations: 1) Elder Resource, providing monetary and assistance to seniors, 2) Arley UMC, outreaches include the Heffer Project providing farm animals to impoverished communities so they can become self-sufficient and 3) LGA, a non-profit that teaches children discipline, individual and team building thru gymnastics.
At Elder Resource I am the President and ensure families that reach out are put in contact with resources. I also ensure continuation of services for at risk seniors and provide financial assistance and oversight.
At Arley UMC I am on the leadership board and ensure the business matters are addressed, I financially donate and especially love to contribute to the Heifer Project and to UMC.
At LGA I donate financially and I donate my time to run clocks (or whatever is needed) for tournaments and fundraisers.
Just knowing that I have been blessed and am able to give back is so rewarding. It is an honor and a privilege as well as a responsibility that I do not take lightly. Seeing others grow and learn skills that will help them in the future is a gift that keeps giving. Helping those that cannot help themselves is a calling, I receive more pleasure in giving than receiving. It also gives me hope that there is good in the world and anyone can make a difference.
That’s awesome Kristy! Keep it up! If you know someone who you think could be the next VuGooder of the month, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
